Noah or N?ach ("Rest," Standard Hebrew נוֹחַ N?aḥ, Tiberian Hebrew נֹחַ Nō?ḥ; Arabic نوح Nūḥ), is a Biblical figure who according to Genesis built an ark to save his family and a selection of the world's animals from the Deluge (an example of divine retribution). The story of his life is told in the Book of Genesis and the Qur'an.
