Nikolay Nikolayevich Novosiltsev

Count Nikolay Nikolayevich Novosiltsev ({{lang-ru|???????? ??????????? ????????????}}) (1761-1836) was a Russian statesman and a close aide to Alexander I of Russia. He was a natural son of a wealthy nobleman, married to the aunt of Count Pavel Stroganov. This relation secured for him a place in the Privy Committee that outlined the Government reform of Alexander I. Later, he served in the government of the Kingdom of Poland and drafted a proposed Constitution of the Kingdom, which was never realised. He concluded his career as the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. Nicholas I made him count in 1835.
