Nicole Ari Parker
Nicole Ari Parker (born 7 October 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland) is a bi-racial American actress, of African-American and Cherokee Indian descent, . A brief model, Parker is best known for playing the tough but loving Terry Joseph in the series version of Soul Food. She helped aid in the confusion between Vanessa L. Williams (who played Terry in the Soul Food movie) and Vanessa A. Williams who played Maxine in the series, due to her similar features to Vanessa L. Williams (including mocha skin and light hazel eyes). She starred in UPN's sitcom Second Time Around with husband, model/actor Boris Kodjoe, which was canceled in 2005. She gave birth to her first child, Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe, March 5, 2005.
