Newton Gearloose


 

Newton Gearloose is a fictional character created for The Walt Disney Company in 1960 by Vic Lockman. He first appeared in The Gyro Gearloose story in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #338 as Gyro's nephew. He also appeared in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #339, Huey Dewey and Louie's Junior Woodchucks #'s 1, 2, 49, and 50. Newton is a fan of his uncle's work and wants to be an inventor like him when he grows up. Newton is also a Junior Woodchuck which also makes him a friend of Huey Dewey and Louie. In one story he saved April May and June. In another story he convinced The Beagle Brats to become Junior Woodchucks. Newton also went by the nickname Giggy. After the early 1970's Newton disappeared and hasn't been seen since although he was rumored to appear in a Duck Tales episode titled Super Doo.
