Newington Green
Newington Green is a neighbourhood located in Islington, London. Nestled between the busier hubs of Angel Islington, Stoke Newington and Dalston, it was traditionally a rather nondescript and run-down area. However, a recent project has seen the Green itself refurbished, and traffic calming measures have eased the notorious local conjestion. A number of new and trendy shops, bars and restaurants have leant the area a certain gentrification, and it has grown in popularity with young families, evinced by the children that now play in the formerly deserted park.
