New Milford (town), Connecticut
New Milford (Incorporated 1712) is a town located in Litchfield County, Connecticut, 14 miles (23 km) north of Danbury, on the Housatonic River. Industrial and economic endeavors of the past included tobacco warehouses and manufactories of hats, lime, furniture, dairy products, and paints. In 1900, 4,804 people lived here; and in 1910, 5,010 people lived here. As of the 2002 the town has a population of approximately 28000.
