New Castle, Indiana

New Castle is a city located in Henry County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 17,780. The city is the county seat of Henry County{{GR|6}}. New Castle is home to New Castle Fieldhouse, the largest high school gymnasium in the world, and has produced many basketball stars including College All-American and NBA star, Kent Benson; as well as College All-American, NBA player, and Iowa Hawkeyes Basketball Coach, Steve Alford.
