New Albany, Indiana
New Albany is a city located in Floyd County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 37,603. The city is the county seat of Floyd County{{GR|6}}. It is bounded by I-265 to the north and the Ohio River to the south, and is considered part of the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area. The mayor of New Albany is James E. Garner, Sr., a Democrat, whose current term is set to expire on January 1, 2008.
