NetZero

NetZero is an Internet Service Provider based in the United States. It is a subsidiary of United Online, which also owns Juno Online Services and BlueLight Internet Services.

NetZero, along with its now-sister company BlueLight Internet (which was at first co-owned by Kmart and Yahoo!), were originally aimed toward providing internet access to users free of charge, in exchange for displaying ads on the user's screen in a permanent toolbar.

NetZero eventually began charging for internet access totalling over 40 hours/month starting in January 2001. This became Netzero Platinum, which provided unlimited free access for US$9.99.
