Neshoba County is a county located in the state of Mississippi. As of the 2000 census, the population is 28,684. Its county seat is Philadelphia6.

Neshoba County was in the news during Freedom Summer. On June 21, 1964, three civil rights workers (Andrew Goodman, Mickey Schwerner, and James Chaney) were killed after traveling to the county to investigate the burning of a black church. In 2005, 80-year-old Edgar Ray Killen was arrested for the killings. On the 41st anniversary of the crime, June 21, 2005, a jury convicted Killen of 3 counts of manslaughter.
