Naval Air Station Whidbey Island
Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NAS Whidbey) is a United States Navy air base located in two sections around Oak Harbor, Washington, USA. It was founded in 1941, just in time to become an important west coast base during World War II. The main base is located approximately three miles north of Oak Harbor. The official name for the Post Office that serves the base is Ault Field, however any mail directed to Oak Harbor with the ZIP Code of Ault Field (98278) is delivered with out incident.

There are several Navy squadrons based there for use aboard ship or land; it has three runways. The other section of the base is called the Seaplane base. It is the primary location of the base Navy Exchange and DECA Commissary. It is also where most of the Navy-owned housing is located.
