National Soccer Hall of Fame
The National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, New York, is located within driving distance from the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown and the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in Canastota. It honors the best American soccer players, and the people who collaborated to build the sport in the United States. Despite its denomination as a national Hall of Fame and its location in the United States, a select few non-American players are honored; but those must have U.S. ties, such as former North American Soccer League players Pelé and Franz Beckenbauer.
