Natchitoches, Louisiana

The city of Natchitoches (pronounced {{IPA|}}) is the parish seat of Natchitoches Parish, in the US state of Louisiana. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 17,865.

Geography

Natchitoches is located at 31°45'15" North, 93°5'42" West (31.754123, -93.095085){{GR|1}}.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 65.1 km² (25.1 mi²). 55.8 km² (21.6 mi²) of it is land and 9.2 km² (3.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 14.21% water.
