    • This film is based off the popular anime and manga series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. It hit theaters in Japan on August 21 2004. Naruto the Movie was instantly a hit and stayed at the top of the Japanese box office charts for a while. The Naruto movie was so popular it received a sequel (Naruto the Movie 2) that made its theatrical debut in Summer 2005. The movie was released on DVD on April 28 2005. This film was also released in Taiwan on May 27th, 2005, titled "Naruto?Princess Snow Ninja rule".
