Myron Floren

Myron Floren (born November 5, 1919 in Roslyn, South Dakota - died 23 July, 2005 in Los Angeles County, California) is best known as being the accordionist on The Lawrence Welk Show between 1950 and 1982.

He was apparently very highly regarded by Welk, who was a very accomplished accordion player in his own right. Floren generally seemed to function as Welk's principal assistant and second-in-command, although whether this was true off-stage could perhaps be questioned. Floren has been seen in a hosting role of repeats of The Lawrence Welk Show on PBS.
