"My Sweet Lord" was the first number one single by ex-Beatle George Harrison. It topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic in 1971.

The song is widely regarded as Harrison's most famous solo effort and it was re-released after his death, at which time it also went to #1.

Musical similarity with the Chiffons' hit "He's So Fine" led to a lengthy lawsuit that carried on for decades. Harrison was found to have unintentionally plagiarized the earlier song, and ordered to surrender the majority of royalties from "My Sweet Lord" and additional damages from his "All Things Must Pass" album.
