Music Of My Mind (1972) was one of Stevie Wonder's first experiments with the synthesizer. It was also one of his most experimental, with him doing different genres of music and longer song forms.

The album was at the point, different from any album he released at Motown and while parts of it shine, is an uneven venture especially when compared to his next effort, Talking Book, where his experimentation pays off when combined with his maturingly masterful song-writing.
