Music Man (company)
Music Man is a guitar and bass company started by Leo Fender in 1976, after leaving Fender, which he had sold to CBS Corporation in 1965. Music Man currently owned by the Ernie Ball company. Famous users include John Petrucci, Tony Levin, bassist of Peter Gabriel, Benji Madden, guitarist for the band Good Charlotte, Dave Farrell of Linkin Park, Patrick Haid of Ides of Space, and the bassist for Sugar Ray. Flea, the bassist for Red Hot Chili Peppers, has also played on an Ernie Ball bass.

From 1991 to 1995 the company produced the signature guitar for Eddie van Halen of Van Halen. After Van Halen switched to Peavey Electronics, the "EVH-model" was slightly altered and reintroduced as the "Axis".

Music Man also produced a line of music amplifiers for musical instruments. These amps have been used by musicians such as Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, and Albert Lee.
