Muni Metro
Muni Metro is a mass transit system operated in the City and County of San Francisco by the San Francisco Municipal Railway. Despite its name, it is best described as a light rail or premetro system rather than a true metro. Due to its history, in some parts of the city it resembles a metro, such as all segments of the lines running under Market St., while the most other segments of lines resemble either a traditional streetcar network or a modern light rail system. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
