Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies
The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a US-based non-profit organization that aims to assist scientists to design, fund, obtain approval for and report on studies into the risks and benefits ofMDMA, psychedelic drugs and marijuana. MAPS' goal is to develop these drugs into FDA-approved prescription medicines, and to educate the public about the risks and benefits. The organization was founded by Rick Doblin.

Currently, MAPS has been given a Schedule I license to conduct research with MDMA on veterans suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome from the Afghan war as well as Cancer patients, the first licenses the DEA has granted for MDMA research.
