MTV Unplugged (EP)

MTV Unplugged is the third album and first live album by Mariah Carey released on June 2 1992 (see 1992 in music). It was very commercially successful for a live album going on to sell three million copies in the United States and approximately four times that number worldwide. Like Emotions, it only produced one number one single, which was the only new song on the album, however for a live album this was a huge achievement. It gained her respect from many critics, who saw her as a studio artist and who believed her high notes were creations from the studio, as she had never performed live before.
