Mrs olsen

Mrs. Olsen was a character in a long-running television advertising campaign in the United States for Folgers coffee.

Mrs. Olsen was a Swedish neighbour to the other characters portrayed in the campaign, and invariably recommended Folgers Coffee as the solution to whatever (minor) problem that they seemed to be facing. She always mentioned how Folgers was "mountain grown, the richest kind of coffee"; left unsaid was how most of the world's coffee is grown in mountainous areas, which are the prime source of the climate required for coffee-growing.

The campaign continued for about three decades, and hence it and the character became a frequent topic for parody by comedians and others.
