:"Mozambique" is also the name given to a style of music from the 1960s, an advanced rumba by Pello El AfroKán.

Geography

The country is located on Eastern Africa, on the continent's largest coastal plain (half the territory is below 230 m above sea level). The mountain range known as Inyanga is located to the west, where its peak reaches 2500 m. The major elevations are near the borders with Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.

The coasts are very irregular, and covered by vast swamps in the middle section of the country around cities like Beira and Quelimane. Many beaches in Mozambique are excellent for tourism, with soft sand and clear blue water, and cheap, fresh seafood provided by the fishing industry.

The country is divided by the Zambezi River.

Mozambique has a hot, rainy season from November to March, and a cool, dry winter season from July to September.

Exclaves and enclaves

The islands of Likoma and Chisumula belong to Malawi but lie entirely within Mozambique's Lake Niassa (Lake Malawi) territorial waters, forming maritime enclaves http://geosite.jankrogh.com/malawi.htm.
