Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People
The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) is a campaigning organization representing the Ogoni people in their struggle for ethnic and environmental rights. Its primary targets, and at times adversaries, have been the Nigerian government and the oil company Royal Dutch Shell. MOSOP organizes in large part through sectoral organizations such as the National Youth Council of the Ogoni People and the Federation of Ogoni Women's Associations.
