Mountain Jam
"Mountain Jam" is an Allman Brothers Band song off the Eat A Peach album. The song is based off a folk song by Donovan called "There Is A Mountain" and first appeared on his In Concert album and then later on Donovan's Greatest Hits. Mountain Jam was originially recorded at the Fillmore East but was left off the album because it was too long. At 33 minutes and 41 seconds long the song is without lyrics and features solos from almost all of the band members. Both Duane Allman and Dickey Betts take guitar solos. Midway through the song there is a drum solo by Butch Trucks and Jaimoe, followed by a bass guitar solo by Berry Oakley.
