Moses Brown School
Moses Brown School is a Quaker private school located in Providence, Rhode Island and was founded in 1784 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island as the New England Yearly Meeting School during the New England Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. It is named after Moses Brown, brother of John Brown (for whom Brown University is named). The school has an enrollment of approximately 800 students, and is a coeducational, college preparatory school that ranges from nursery school to 12th grade. The school maintains a rivalry with East Providence school Providence Country Day School.
