Moore Park is the location of two of Sydney's largest sporting venues: Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium (now called Aussie Stadium), and the Hordern Pavilion, a multipurpose entertainment venue. It also was the location of the showgrounds for the Sydney Royal Easter Show up until 1998, when it moved to Homebush Bay (the site of the 2000 Olympic Games). The old showgrounds have since been redeveloped as Fox Studios, a commercial venture designed at supporting Australia's film industry.
