Mohammad Reza Khatami
Seyyed Mohammad Reza Khatami (محمد رضا خاتمی), also known as Reza Khatami (born in 1959 in Ardakan), is an Iranian politician. He is the Secretary-General of the Islamic Iran Participation Front, the younger brother of the fifth Iranian president Mohammad Khatami, and the former deputy speaker of the Iranian parliament. He is the son of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khatami.

He was elected in March of 2000 for the sixth term of the Islamic Republic's parliament's election as the first representative of Tehran with 1,794,365 votes from the people of Tehran. Before that, he had been a vice minister in the Ministry of Health for two years. He has also acted as the manager in charge of the now-banned reformist daily Mosharekat.

He is educated in medicine and before entering politics, he was a practicing urologist for a number of years.

In 1983, he married Zahra Eshraghi, granddaughter of Ruhollah Khomeini (founder of the Islamic republic), and an activist in women's rights. They have two children — a daughter, Fatemeh, and a son, Ali.
