Mogambo
Mogambo is a 1953 film which tells the story of love affairs against the background of a big game safari in Africa.

Mogambo was adapted by John Lee Mahin from the play by Wilson Collison. It was directed by John Ford. It stars Clark Gable as a big game trapping company owner Victor Marswell, Ava Gardner as Eloise Y. 'Honey Bear' Kelly, Grace Kelly and Donald Sinden as Mr. Donald Nordley and Mrs. Linda Nordley. Filmed on location in Okalataka, Congo; Mount Kenya and Thika, Kenya; Kagera River, Tanzania; Isoila, Uganda; and at the MGM British Studios, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England, UK. The music is all done by local native tribes (except for Gardner accompanied by player piano), unusual for Hollywood.

It is a remake of the earlier film Red Dust (1932), which also starred Clark Gable. The original co-starred Jean Harlow in the role later played by Ava Gardner. Mary Astor completed the love triangle as the visiting wife, later played by Grace Kelly. The film was directed by Victor Fleming.

Grace Kelly won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress (1954), and the film was nominated for two Oscar's, Best Actress in a Leading Role (Ava Gardner), and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Grace Kelly). The film was also nominated for a BAFTA Film Award (Best Film from any Source USA).
