Moe Howard
Perhaps most famous for his black sugar-bowl haircut and prominent eyebags, Moe Howard (June 19, 1897 – May 4, 1975)--born Harry Moses Horwitz--was the "leader" of the Three Stooges. The distinctive coiffe came about when he was a boy and cut off his curls with a scissors, producing a ragged shape approximating a helmet.

One of his most popular forms of bullying was his two fingered (simulated) poke in the eye. His other method of keeping the other stooges in line was a slap to the face. Both actions were accompanied by off-screen sound effects, so they appeared much more violent than they were.
