It stands for "Mission des Nations unies pour l'Organisation d'un R?f?rendum au Sahara Occidental" - United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Personnel comprises ca. 500 people, including local staff.
