Sing, Aurra

Aurra Sing made a brief appearance in ' during the Podrace scene. She is portrayed with a mostly bald head surmounted by a sensor implant, a tracker utility vest over orange-red body paint, and heavy leather boots for desert travel. The character, or at least the appearance of model Michonne Bourriague, was so popular with fans that the character was expanded into the Star Wars comics.

The character was first conceived in a sketch labeled "Babe Fett", by Lucasfilm's Doug Chiang. After that, she appeared in many of the books including the Boba Fett series. She is a ruthless bounty hunter, one of the best. Not much is known about her. She trained to be a Jedi but she never finished her training because she was kidnapped by slavers on a mission with her Master, the Dark Woman, who never looked for her. Feeling abandoned by the Jedi, Aurra Sing escaped and, after learning a wide array of fighting techniques from various groups, fell to the dark side and became the self-proclaimed "bane of the Jedi." As part of her hatred towards the Jedi, she kills a lot of Jedi for sport and collects their lightsabers as trophies, much like General Greivous. Sing was the cause of of Sharad Hett's death, the father of A'sharad Hett. During the Clone Wars, she was finally defeated and captured by Jedi Knight Aayla Secura, but she escaped from imprisonment on the asteroid of Oovo IV a few months later. Aurra Sing was last seen participating in vehicular demolition tournaments at the palace of Jabba the Hutt during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Once one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, Aurra Sing faded into obscurity on a backwater desert world, facing a galaxy now utterly bereft of the Jedi she had spent almost her whole life hating.
