A minivan, or people carrier (British English), is a type of vehicle (considered an Multi Purpose Vehicle in Europe) developed independently by Matra/Renault and the Chrysler Corporation. It is higher than normal sedans, compacts and station wagons, and is designed to increase interior room, featuring often three seat rows.
