Mineola, New York
Mineola is a village located in Nassau County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 19,234. It is the county seat of Nassau County{{GR|6}}. The name is derived from a native word meaning a "pleasant place."

Mineola features four of the five vowels (not including y). The village applied to have the fifth vowel, U, added to its name, but the application was denied.
