Milton Academy
Milton Academy is a private, preparatory, coeducational boarding and day school in Milton, Massachusetts, United States. Milton has traditionally been a "feeder" school for Harvard University, which still tops the matriculation list. In recent years, Brown, Yale, Columbia, and Georgetown receive almost as many Milton graduates each year. Milton was recently ranked as the best private school in the Boston area by Boston Magazine. The Boarding School Review, in a comparison of most private preparatory schools, rated Milton as having the fourth highest average SAT score (tied with Groton School), and ranks the Academy as the most selective school in the country. For athletics, Milton competes in the Independent School League (ISL) with schools such as Roxbury Latin and St. Paul's, in addition to Milton's historic rival, Nobles. Milton's $140 million endowment and 125 acre (0.5 km²) campus serve about 680 upper school students.
Dormitories
Boys
Wolcott is the largest male dorm on campus, catering up to 48 boys and 7 faculty members. Recently renovated with carpeted floors (a unique trait and refreshing change from the linoleum-striken dorms) and repainted walls, Wolcott is the first dorm to receive the makeover treatment promised in the Milton "Master Plan." Wolcott also used to be infamously considered the most "misbehaved" of the dorms, with the highest alcohol and substance abuse of the residences. However Wolcott have now adopted the role as "the cool dorm" on campus. Its interesting and engaging dorm faculty along with the fascinating and proud boys make it a highlight of "the Milton experience."

Faulkner was the eastmost dorm (about an 8min walk away from the Main Campus). It was a small, homey dorm with 17 boys in 3 floors and a graffitied basement. Due to a renovation plan initiated in the 2003-04 school year, the dorm has been changed into faculty housing, with the Faulkner inhabitants moved to Norris house.

Girls
Girls dorms include: recently renovated Hallowell, newly constructed Centre, Robbins, and Hathaway the eastmost dorm. Traditions abound in all of the dormitories on the Milton campus and good times are had by all during activites such as: movies on the quad, pumpkin carving at Halloween, big brother/sister within each dorm, and many more. The boarding community at Milton is like an extended family for many of its members, including those from as close as Duxbury, MA to and those from as far away as China and Hong Kong.
