Miller index
In geometry, a Miller index is used to describe sets of planes in a crystal.

A Miller index is of the form
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
:(h k l), or (h k l m)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
where the integers h, k, and l represent the x-, y-, and z-intercepts of the plane respectively. It stands for a vector perpendicular to the family of planes, with a length of d-1, where d is the inter-plane spacing.
