Miguel Corte-Real

Miguel Corte-Real (c.1450 & ndash; (probably) 1502) was a Portuguese explorer.

He was the son of João Vaz Corte-Real and the brother of Gaspar Corte-Real. Gaspar disappeared near Newfoundland in 1501. Miguel set out an expedition to search for him, but he disappeared as well.
