Middlesbrough F.C.

Middlesbrough Football Club are an English football team, commonly known as 'The Boro'. They are currently in the FA Premier League. They play at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. Their current manager is Steve McClaren, and the chairman of the club is Steve Gibson. Their mascot is Roary the Lion, played by Andrew Morgan of Yarm amongst others. Their official historian/statistician is Harry Glasper.

Current Status

Middlesbrough FC is in probably its strongest position ever coming to the end of the 2004-2005 season. A seventh-place finish in the Premiership was sufficient to earn Boro a berth in the 2005-06 UEFA Cup. With its 'Round of 16' finish in the 2004-05 UEFA Cup, a return to that competition next season, and with a strong squad combining bought-in senior pros and youngsters from the club's excellent youth development programme, the future looks bright.
