Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools is a voluntary, peer based, non-profit association dedicated to the educational excellence and improvement through peer evaluation and accreditation. They are recognized as a leader in quality assurance and improvement in higher education. They are one of six regional accrediting organizations recognized by the United States Department of Education. They are responsible for accreditting schools in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington, D.C. as well as several non-US schools.

The Commission supports it members in their quest for excellence, and provides assurance to the general public that accredited member institutions meet its standards. The Commission achieves its purposes through assessment, peer evaluation, consultation, information gathering and sharing, cooperation, and appropriate educational activities. The Commission is committed to the principles of cooperation, flexibility, openness, and responsiveness to the needs of society and the higher education community.
