Michael Paul Vaughan is an English cricketer, and captain of the England cricket team. He plays county cricket for Yorkshire.

The Vaughan family moved to Sheffield, South Yorkshire when Michael was nine years old. There Michael attended Silverdale School, where he started playing cricket for the school side and also for Sheffield Collegiate CC.
