Michael Myers (Halloween)
Michael Myers (full name: Michael Audrey Myers, also known as The Shape) is a fictional character who has appeared in all of the Halloween films, with the exception of '. The character was created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill and was originally portrayed by Nick Castle. His face is only rarely seen in any of the films and he never speaks. Throughout the films, the character wears a William Shatner mask, painted white, and coveralls. Myers displays supernatural strength and is well over six feet tall.
First sequel continuity
In ', Myers awoke from a coma to search for his niece Jamie Lloyd, the daughter of Laurie Strode. Loomis believed that the girl was the key to curing Myers' rage (but this was not proven until Halloween 5). At the end of Halloween 4, after suffering multiple shotgun wounds to the chest from a squad of police, Myers was presumed dead.

In ', it is revealed that, in actuality, Myers was nursed back to health by an old hermit. He was soon trying to hunt his niece down again. He was again defeated by Loomis, who had been driven to the brink of insanity by his quest to destroy Myers.

' reveals that Myers lived, saved by a secret cult of Druids that exist to worship and protect him. He finally managed to kill his niece, who had become a young woman and given birth to a child of her own. The secret of his everlasting life and desire to kill was revealed to be a curse of the symbol "Thorn," which makes the victim believe that if he kills all of his family members, he will have peace and help humanity. Finally (according to the original "Producer's Cut"), Dr. Loomis became infected with the curse himself as he became "caregiver" to the escaped Myers.
