Halloween

Michael Myers was born on October 31, 1957 in Haddonfield, Illinois. On Halloween night, 1963, he brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith Margaret Myers. Michael, only six-years-old, was sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium, where he was placed under the care of psychiatrist Dr. Samuel J. Loomis (portrayed by Donald Pleasence). Loomis provided numerous romantic descriptions of the deranged child throughout the first film, such as: "I met this six-year-old child with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes?the devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply evil."

On October 30, 1978, Michael, then 21, was scheduled to appear before a court judge who was to determine whether or not to keep him incarcerated. Michael, however, escaped by hijacking the car meant to transfer him to his court hearing. He returned to Haddonfield and soon found prospective victims in an intelligent teenager named Laurie Strode and her friends, Annie and Lynda. One by one, Michael stalked and murdered Laurie's friends. Just when he was about to kill Laurie, however, Dr. Loomis shot him six times.(This also provides us with the only look at Michael's adult face in the entire series) Michael then fell off of a second-story terrace and mysteriously fled the scene despite his seemingly fatal injuries.
