Michael Llewelyn-Davies
Michael Llewelyn-Davies (1900- 19 May 1921) was the second youngest son of Arthur and Sylvia Llewelyn-Davies, befriended by J. M. Barrie, and is believed to be the main inspiration for the Peter Pan character. The Peter Pan statues by George Frampton are believed to be modelled after him.

While attending Christ Church, Oxford Michael drowned with a friend, Rupert Errol Victor Buxton, in the frequently flooded pools of the Sandford Lasher. The two young men had been inseparable, and it has been suspected that the two were in love and died as a result of a suicide pact. Michael did not know how to swim and, according to some reports, when their bodies were recovered from the Thames, his hands were tied to those of Rupert. According to other reports, the two bodies were found locked in embrace, with no physical binding.
