Mewtwo is a fictional character from the Pok?mon franchise. It is widely considered to be the most powerful Pok?mon to exist in the Pok?mon universe.

The name "Mewtwo" originates from Mew, the Pok?mon from whom its genes originated. The "two" suffix refers to Mewtwo being Mew's clone. "Mewtwo" can be considered an "alternate spelling" of "Mutant", hence its larger physical form and stronger psychic abilities.
