Metamorphosis (Hilary Duff album)
Background
Metamorphosis was an appropriate title for an album that attempted to attract an older teenage audience as well as the tweens who had supported Hilary Duff's career to 2003. In order to do so, she recruited The Matrix, who had worked with Avril Lavigne and Liz Phair, to write and produce three songs on the album: "So Yesterday", "Where Did I Go Right" and "The Math". Duff's sister, Haylie Duff, wrote the songs "Sweet Sixteen" and "Inner Strength".
