Memphis Bleek
Memphis Bleek (born Malik Cox on June 23 1980) is a New York rapper who grew up with legends like Notorious BIG and Jay-Z. Memphis (which stands for Making Easy Money Pimping Hoes Is Simple) is featured on the Clark Kent produced "Coming of Age" off Jay-Z's classic debut LP Reasonable Doubt, and was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. "Coming of Age" was also the title of Memphis' debut LP, but it didn't sell well. The same was the case of his second LP, "The Understanding", and his third LP, "M.A.D.E".

Memphis Bleek has also started his own label, Get Low, which has signed among others former Junior MAFIA member Lil' Cease. The name of the label has caused a beef between Memphis and JT tha Bigga Figga, who has got an independent record label with the same name. Bleek has released his fourth album titled 534 (named after the block he grew up in, in Marcy Projects, Brooklyn, with his long time friend Jay-Z), on May 17 2005. However like many of Bleeks previous releases the album flopped in sales, despite decent exposure of the Swizz Beatz produced single 'Like That'.
