Melting
![]() In physics, melting is the process of heating a solid substance to a point (called melting point) where it turns liquid. An object that has melted is molten. Freezing is the opposite of melting. It is the process of turning a liquid to a solid. Consequently the freezing point is the same temperature as the melting point. See the phase article for more detail.
Physics: Physics (from the Greek, φυσικός (phusikos), "natural", and φύσις (phusis), "nature") is the science of the natural world in the broadest sense, dealing with matter and energy and the fundamental forces of nature that govern the interaction... Solid: A solid is a phase of matter characterized by resistance to deformation and to changes of volume.... Melting point: The melting point of a solid is the temperature at which it changes state from solid to liquid. When considered as the temperature of the reverse change from liquid to solid, it is referred to as the freezing point.... Melting related Images and Photos (experimental) | ~ Table of Content ~
