Melanie Smallman
Melanie Smallman is a Labour councillor in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. She was Labour's parliamentary candidate in the constituency of Hammersmith & Fulham in the 2005 General Election following the announcement in March 2005 of sitting Labour MP Iain Coleman that he did not intend to seek re-election following illness.

Melanie Smallman has the distinction of being the first Labour candidate in Hammersmith & Fulham council history of gaining a seat in a by-election from the Conservative Party - in the 1996 Crabtree ward by-election. She has since represented College Park & Old Oak and Addison wards.
