Mek'ele
Mek'elē is capital of the Tigray region of Ethiopia and home to the headquarters of the UNMEE. It is located some 650 km north of the capital, Addis Ababa. Its estimated population is between 100,000 and 250,000, making it the largest city in northern Ethiopia. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
