Mei Foo Sun Chuen
Mei Foo Sun Chuen (美孚新邨, Jyutping: mei5 fu1 san1 cyun1; Cantonese IPA: {{IPA|/meɪ13 fu55 sɐn55 tsʰyn55/}} ; lit. "Mobil new estate") is a large residential estate in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong, built in stages from 1965 to 1978 on land formerly used for petroleum storage by Mobil (Mobil's Chinese trading name in Hong Kong is 美孚/Mei Foo). Mei Foo Sun Chuen was the first private housing estate in Hong Kong and at the time of completion, the 99 tower complex was considered the largest private housing development in the world, accommodating up to 80,000 people in 18,000 apartments.

It was considered "grand" in the old days and every apartment includes a balcony, at least two rooms and one bathroom. The apartment sizes vary from 800 to 1500 square feet (74 to 140 m²). Mei Foo Sun Chuen has several schools and kindergartens and accommodates a mall, and many restaurants such as Good World, New World etc. It also has several private dental and medical clinics.

It also has salons, newspaper stands, a local market, parks, supermarkets (e.g.PARKnSHOP - one of the biggest supermarkets in Hong Kong) carparks and gas stations.

Mei Foo Sun Chuen also has several podiums in which children can play. Mei Foo is inhabited by many eldery who take morning walks around the podium, and have "chu chia", or morning tea in the local restaurants.
